The Church is not perfect, but she is still being perfected. As Jesus taught in the parable of the wheat and the tares, both genuine believers and those who do not truly belong to Him will exist together until Christ returns, when He will separate the wheat from the tares. Rather than allowing the imperfections we see to cause us to abandon the Church, may they remind us that Christ is still at work in His Bride.
