I know it’s Monday, and your Sunday may have already filled you up, but here’s a little more food for your soul to chew on throughout the week.
Reflection
When Peter stepped out of the boat, he did something impossible because his eyes were fixed on the Lord. As long as he looked to Jesus, he walked above the storm. It was only when he focused on the wind and the waves that fear overcame him and he began to sink. Even then, Jesus immediately reached out His hand and lifted him up.
As you begin this week, don’t let the storms of this world steal your peace. Jesus promised, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you.” Keep your eyes on Him. Whether you encounter hatred, division, uncertainty, or personal trials, Jesus will steady your steps, strengthen your faith, and hold you securely even when the waves are high.
Prayer
Father God, in the name of Jesus, thank You for reminding me that no storm is greater than Your power. When I become distracted by the hatred, division, and troubles around me, help me keep my eyes on Jesus. Strengthen my faith and calm my heart when fear tries to take hold. Help me continue trusting You one step at a time. By the power of the Holy Ghost, I pray. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
