Reflection:
It’s easy to count how many years we’ve been in church or how long we’ve been saved. But perhaps the more important question is, “How much has Jesus changed us since we asked Him to come into our lives and be our Lord and Savior?”
Knowing more Scripture is a blessing. Attending worship services, Bible studies, and prayer meetings is important. But God’s desire is that His Word not only transforms our hearts but also changes our lives. We should be able to look back and see evidence that we are becoming more loving, more forgiving, more humble, and more like Jesus.
Has our character changed as much as our biblical knowledge has increased?
Are we repeatedly struggling with matters we should have begun overcoming?
Certainly, we all have areas where God is still working on us, and none of us has “arrived.” The good news is that God is patient, faithful, and committed to completing the good work He has begun in us.
As we begin this week, let’s take a few moments to honestly reflect—not to condemn ourselves, but to recognize where God has already brought us and where He is still growing us.
Prayer
Merciful God, in the name of Jesus, thank You for loving me enough to continue working in my life. Please reveal those attitudes, thoughts, habits, and actions that are present in my life and do not glorify You. Help me not to ignore them or make excuses for them, but to surrender them to You with humility and a willing heart.
Strengthen me through the Holy Spirit to overcome those areas where I continue to struggle, and continue shaping me into the person You have called me to be. May my life increasingly reflect the love, character, and heart of Jesus so that others see Your work in me and You receive all the glory.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Be blessed and have a marvelous Monday and miraculous God-filled week!
KEEP THE FAITH!
