Reflection
Sometimes we approach God with our own conditions. We want Him to explain why something happened, show us how a situation will work out, or tell us when our prayers will be answered. We may even find ourselves thinking, Lord, if You would just show me what You’re doing, it would be easier for me to trust You.
But faith does not require us to have all the answers. Faith requires us to trust the One who does. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
This doesn’t mean we should never ask questions or seek understanding. God has given us His Word – the Holy Bible – to teach us about His character, His promises, and His will. We should study His Word, pray for wisdom, and continue growing in our understanding of Him. Isaiah 55:8–9 reminds us, God’s thoughts and ways are higher than ours. There are things we simply may not understand in this lifetime.
Not knowing what God is doing does not mean God is doing nothing. And not understanding His ways does not mean we cannot trust Him. Remember, the same Jesus who met Thomas in his uncertainty is the risen Savior we serve today. Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:24-29)
Keep the faith, even when you don’t have all the answers.
Prayer
Merciful God, in the name of Jesus, thank You for loving me even when I struggle to understand what is happening in my life. Forgive me for the times I have allowed my questions, fears, or uncertainties to interfere with my trust in You.
Father God, help me to remember what You have already revealed about Yourself through Your Word. Give me wisdom when I need understanding, patience when I must wait, and strength to continue trusting You when the answers do not come.
Teach me to walk by faith and not by sight. Help me to remain confident in Your love, Your faithfulness, and Your promises, even when I cannot see what lies ahead.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Have a MARVELOUS MONDAY and a MIRACULOUS GOD-FILLED week!
KEEP THE FAITH!
