Christian Community Intercessory Prayer

A Weekly Prayer Meeting Open to All Denominations and Communities

“Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17

We begin with a Corporate Prayer of Thanksgiving, Worship, and Repentance before Evangelist Samuel A. Jones, Jr. leads us in intercessory prayer. After the “Amen,” you’re invited to jump in and pray, or simply touch and agree with us in the Spirit as we pray together. We’re praying every Tuesday beginning at 7:30 a.m.

You are welcome to join us live on Zoom using the information below.

Monthly Intercessory Prayer Focus

As we gather each Tuesday morning for intercessory prayer, we will use a monthly prayer focus to help guide our time together and ensure that we are intentionally praying for a broad range of people, needs, communities, and situations.

Our weekly focus is not intended to limit our prayers. We will always make room for urgent needs, prayer requests, and whatever people, concerns, or situations God places upon our hearts.

1st Tuesday — The Church
We pray for Christian churches everywhere as they lift up the name of Jesus; pastors and ministry leaders; missionaries and evangelists; unity within the Body of Christ; spiritual growth; and the work of the Gospel throughout the world.

The Persecuted Church Around the World
Pray for Christians who face persecution, violence, imprisonment, displacement, discrimination, or restrictions because of their faith; for pastors, missionaries, and churches serving under dangerous conditions; for protection, courage, and faithfulness; for persecutors to encounter Christ; and for governments to uphold freedom of religion and conscience.

Regions of Special Prayer
Each month, we will also highlight particular regions where Christians are under pressure and facing fierce persecution. These may include China; Nigeria, including areas affected by Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) ; Burkina Faso and other parts of the Sahel; the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), especially Eastern DRC; Libya and parts of North Africa; Mozambique; Eritrea; North Korea; Iran; Pakistan; Somalia; Yemen; Sudan; Syria; Afghanistan; India; Myanmar; and other places where believers are suffering for their faith.

2nd Tuesday — Families & Children
We pray for marriages, parents, grandparents, foster parents, teachers, children, youth, schools, families experiencing hardship, children who are vulnerable or without adequate support, children who have been snatched away from their families, are being trafficked, molested, abused, and neglected, and the strengthening and restoration of families.

3rd Tuesday — Healing & Personal Needs
We pray for the sick, hospitalized, home bound, caregivers, those undergoing treatment or surgery, people experiencing grief or emotional distress, and those facing financial, employment, housing, or other personal challenges.

4th Tuesday — Communities, Nation & World
We pray for our neighborhoods and communities, government leaders, schools, justice and peace, those affected by violence, poverty, war, natural disasters, persecution, displacement, and humanitarian crises throughout the world.

5th Tuesday — Open Intercession
When there is a fifth Tuesday, we devote our time to open intercession—praying for whatever needs, people, concerns, and situations God places upon our hearts.

Throughout every prayer meeting, we remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and make room to pray for needs beyond the designated focus. We will also continue to lift up those whose names and situations have been shared with us.

Until then, let’s continue to keep one another lifted up in prayer.

BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP NEWS

FROM SCRIPTURE TO SERVICE ROAD TRIP RETREAT 2027

Imagine beginning your journey on the peaceful shores of Stone Harbor, New Jersey—setting aside the distractions of everyday life to spend dedicated time in worship, prayer, Bible study, and Christian fellowship.

Our Bible Study & Worship Retreat at Villa Maria by the Sea Retreat Center is the opening chapter of our From Scripture to Service: Faith & Civic Engagement experience. Together, we’ll deepen our relationship with God, encourage one another in the faith, and prepare our hearts before continuing to Ohio and Chicago for a unique journey of learning, fellowship, and service.

FROM THE PAGE TO THE STAGE

Creative Community Concepts periodically brings people together for Christian fellowship through visits to Sight & Sound Theatre, where the stories of the Bible are presented through powerful live productions. These experiences provide opportunities to grow in faith, enjoy Christian fellowship, and witness Scripture brought to life on stage. Our group has enjoyed MOSES (2023), NOAH (2025), and JOSHUA (2026).

MARCH 27, 2026 – From the very beginning, starting with the Red Sea, you are drawn right in through the wilderness and across the Jordan River. It is captivating from start to finish. I can still hear the Hebrew people marching around the wall of Jericho—what an effect! Sight & Sound handled its creative license responsibly, and the portrayal of Rahab’s experience was deeply moving. It touched my heart so much that tears flowed from my eyes.
